Looking for a job in technology sector and you feel that something is not working well in the market?
I just found a website with jobs that is a real example about how things should be done.
Simple and functional. I am not an affiliate or partner and they don't even know I exist - https://revolutiontechnology.co.uk.
A listing of jobs with no more than the information you need to apply for that role that suits you.
Role name, Location (remote | hybrid | on site), job type as time (full-time | part-time | contract) and the pay amount (with the currency).
Just brilliant!
By clicking on VIEW & APPLY button you will see one of the shortest description for a role.
But it is exactly what you need, no bullshit, no big words to describe things that will never happen or should never be asked.
The Apply process is the most simplest and efficient one.

Full Name | Telephone Number | Email Address and a field to upload your CV, which should have all the other details needed.
It seems that all the other fields used by big platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed, such as sexual orientation, visa status, and many more, offer no real benefit when the system becomes too complex.
Instead of helping, these platforms use AI to apply for jobs on your behalf or to screen CVs without human input, which often leads nowhere or in the wrong direction.
Annoyingly, LinkedIn can stop people applying for a role if a number of applications is reached, showing this message "No longer accepting applications", but no one can guarantee that the right applicant will be found through the ones that applied already.
You should still try your luck, but you can't until you find the same role on another advert from another platform and you submit your CV there.
I also find that showing the number of the applicants (as 100) is just depressing and it can make people avoid applying for that role when in reality, from those 100, maybe only 10 will get shortlisted.
In todays job market, to be seen, as per LinkedIn definition is not just to apply for a role. You need to have online presence. To post on their platform as often as possible.
They need to grow and everything is build with this in mind, so you will find yourself in a system where you will have to sacrificing free time to desperately post anything that will show how good you are or at least that you are curious about things that concerns you.
LinkedIn, apparently a leader in the job market, is defining a trend, a path that other platforms are trying to copy, but in my honest opinion, and many people will agree me, is actually destroying the way of finding a job which should be simple and on point as the platform mentioned above.
Well done, RevolutionTechnology!
